IDrive and Backblaze price the problem differently. IDrive Business uses storage tiers shared across an account. As of our August 29, 2026 check, IDrive advertises a 500 GB Business tier at $13.99 per month equivalent for the first year when billed annually, with a standard rate of $19.99 per month. IDrive notes that discounted pricing applies to the first year and standard pricing follows.

Backblaze Business Backup currently lists $99 per computer per year. Data per protected workstation is unlimited. That means a five-computer business can estimate the core annual workstation-backup cost at $495, while a 20-computer business would be $1,980 at the published annual rate.

Best pricing model for you: Backblaze is easier to budget if endpoint count is stable and data volume varies widely. IDrive can be more flexible if you want one pooled plan across a more diverse set of protected systems.

Workload coverage

This is the biggest difference. IDrive Business currently publishes support for multiple computers and servers plus Exchange, SQL and NAS devices. Backblaze Business Backup is intentionally centered on Windows and Mac computers, including directly attached external drives.

Backblaze specifically says Computer Backup does not back up NAS devices and directs NAS customers to B2 Cloud Storage. That does not make Backblaze weaker overall—it means you need to understand that Business Backup and B2 are separate products solving different backup jobs.

Which is better for a five-person office?
