Our verdict
IDrive Business is a strong starting point for small businesses with mixed backup requirements. Its appeal is not simply price: IDrive lists unlimited users, multiple computers and servers, and support for Exchange, SQL and NAS devices on Business plans. That makes it more flexible than a workstation-only backup product.
We would be more cautious for a business that only needs to protect a handful of employee PCs or Macs. In that situation, a simpler per-computer service can be easier to understand. IDrive also uses storage-based Business tiers, so capacity planning matters.

IDrive Business pricing in 2026
As checked August 28, 2026, IDrive lists its 500 GB Business plan at $13.99 per month equivalent when billed annually for the first year, or $167.92 for the first year. The same plan shows a standard monthly price of $19.99. IDrive states that the discounted annual price applies to the first year and standard pricing applies afterward.
Higher Business tiers increase the shared storage pool. The important buying question is therefore not “Is $13.99 cheap?” but how much protected data will the business have after retention, version history and growth are included?
What IDrive Business can protect
IDrive's current Business listing includes unlimited users and multiple computers and servers. Its plan comparison also describes backup for PCs, Macs and Linux machines; external drives and NAS; and server workloads including Microsoft SQL Server, on-premises Exchange, Hyper-V, VMware and Oracle.
That breadth is the main reason we prefer IDrive as a first comparison for a mixed small-business environment. A company can potentially avoid piecing together one product for employee computers and another solely because a server or NAS exists.
Centralized management and recovery features
IDrive documents remote management through a centralized web console, continuous data backup for changed files, external-drive and NAS backup, user/group administration and disk-image cloning. IDrive also advertises IDrive Express for moving larger quantities of backup or restore data using shipped temporary storage.
Those features are useful, but a feature list is not a recovery plan. Before relying on any backup service, document the systems that must be restored first, the acceptable amount of data loss, and how long the business can operate without each system.

Where IDrive Business may not be the best fit
Storage is not unlimited. IDrive Business plans are capacity-based, and IDrive currently documents overuse charges for Team and Business accounts. Businesses should leave capacity headroom rather than sizing a plan exactly to today's files.
The promotional price is not the long-term price. Budget using the expected renewal cost, not just the first-year discount.
Broad support can add complexity. If all you need is backup for five ordinary laptops, a narrower workstation product may be simpler to administer and explain.
