That makes the cost model unusually easy to estimate when your main problem is protecting employee computers.
Best fit: Small businesses with a modest number of Windows or Mac computers that want low-administration cloud backup.
Watch for: “Unlimited” does not mean every business workload is covered. If you need server, application, database, NAS or SaaS backup, compare the supported workload carefully rather than assuming a workstation product replaces those systems.

Before you buy: six questions
- What are you protecting? PCs, Macs, servers, NAS, Microsoft 365 and databases are different workloads.
- How much data is there? Per-device unlimited pricing and pooled-storage pricing behave very differently as you grow.
- How far back must you recover? Compare version history and retention, not just storage capacity.
- How quickly must you recover? Recovery speed can matter more than backup speed after an outage.
- Can ransomware reach the backups? Keep an important recovery copy isolated, offline, immutable or otherwise protected from production-side compromise.
- Have you tested restoration? Do not discover your recovery process for the first time during an incident.
